I hope many are enjoying seeing your child's French portfolio which came home last week. Thank for all your feedback and helping your child self-assess their learning in French and choose some learning goals for next term in French. The children have been working very very hard. Please have them share orally what they know as this is even more reflective of their progress in French. Please remember that so much is done orally in class as the main focus at this age in ORAL. Reading has been mostly done through our interactive you tube songs with words on the SMARTBOARD, modelled reading, vocabulary words, and sound cards and syllable reading. Writing next term will continue to involve use of all resources in class as well as a writing checklist to help "bump up" their written work.
1. Please encourage your child to finish sharing their work at home and return portfolios as soon as possible. Return self eval sheet along with duotang and little notebooks in ziploc. Thank you!

5. I have started meeting some parents with colleagues recently through teacher interview requests before reports go home. I will be contacting some parents by phone and/or writing a note in your child's agenda.
