November Homework

New sheets have been added to French Homework Duotangs today. Three out of four classes are bringing them home today....the other on Monday. If your child did not have their duotang at school...I have placed their sheets in their agenda bag. Please add these to their homework duotangs at home. Reminder to please return all duotangs once again at the end of the month...November 30th.

This week.....we are improving our reading skills by matching vocabulary words/letters/pictures from labelled pictures cards, charts, and books through fun work activities. Learning to use these resources first with teacher support, peer support and then independently is key to helping to develop needed skills when learning a second language. One of these activities was included as a new sheet in the homework duotang with Halloween vocabulary.

The other homework sheet includes a few fall sentences the children will be learning....starting with the underlined words and progressing to full sentence reading. Here are hte sentences plus a few additional ones...

L'automne

1. Les feuilles tombent.

2. Les pommes sont rouges.

3. Voici 2 citrouilles oranges.

4. C'est le mois d'octobre.

5. Les oiseaux s'envolent.

6. Les pommes sont rouges et vertes.

7. Les feuilles sont rouges, oranges, et jaunes.

8. Il fait froid.

9. Les écureuils se préparent pour l'hiver.

10. Le Jour du Souvenir est le 11 novembre.
